On Thursday, 01/11/2023 at 7:00 pm, the Project Team of v-Corfu had the pleasure and honor to welcome the students and teachers of the Evening Middle and High School of Corfu and share with them the practical results and derivatives of the multi-year development research on the Corfu Virtual Exhibition Site.
In a full room at the facilities of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University, the Scientific Coordinator of the project, Assistant Professor of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University, Mr. Vasilios Komianos, along with Mr. Athanasios Tsipis, Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department and Mrs. Sofia Fanarioti, PhD Candidate at the Department, provided a detailed description of the project followed by a warm and highly interesting discussion about the possibilities that open up in the direction of the preservation of the local cultural heritage and local historical memory, making this knowledge widely available to the general public.
The evening concluded with students and teachers testing the apps, interacting with the content and touring the Virtual Exhibition through the Virtual Reality equipment. We thank them very much and look forward to hosting them again in future events.
